M.A. Relationship Therapy
Fay is a Relate – trained relationship counsellor with 10 years experience, specialising in working with families, couples and individuals facing challenges and difficulties in their relationships. She is committed to working collaboratively with her clients to enable them to find more fulfilling and less conflicted relationships. She is interested in the way our ideas and expectations about relationships are shaped and influenced by our past as well as current experiences. In counselling these beliefs and behaviours can be explored to reach an understanding of which enable positive healthy relationships and which contribute to difficulties. From here clients can identify choices about how to manage what is happening or how to do things differently.
Fay also works as a trainer running workshops on relationship- based issues. These include 3 years working as a trainer on the Separated Parents Information Programme in support of separated parents and their children as well as delivering training for professionals supporting families in schools and Surestart centres.
As a member of AFT (Association of Family Therapy) and an accredited member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) she works strictly to their codes of ethics.
