Repetitive strain injuries or work related upper-limb disorder is pain in the muscles, tendons and nerves in the upper limb.
RSI is usually caused by repetitive movements such as typing or using a mouse, poor posture or prolonged periods of time working at high-intensity without rest.
Having a work station assessment is a good place to start, establishing a good desk set up can help alleviate symptoms of RSI.
An assessment with a physiotherapist can establish which structures may be causing symptoms and treatment to reduce pain and strengthen these structures may be beneficial for symptom management and prevention.
