Covid New Mum?- How Physio Helps

Covid New Mum?- How Physio Helps

Motherhood can be a challenging time at the best of times, whether it is your first baby or your sixth.  But motherhood during a global pandemic has created its own challenges.

Gone are the days where we could all meet up in a coffee shop and compare how little sleep we have had, how much cluster feeding we are dealing with or how many poo disasters have come our way today.  Nor can we compare our postpartum recovery and discuss what is normal or not with others, leaving us feeling a little bit lost on the road to recovery.

Many women experience postpartum issues such as pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse, separated abdominal muscles or back and hip pain and are not quite sure what to do about them.

There are also many women who would like to get back into a normal exercise routine but are unsure of how and when to start getting more active again after delivery.

Each postpartum recovery is different and women’s health physiotherapy can help with these issues whether your baby is 2 months old or 20 years old! It is never too late to rehab your body after having children!

We will assess your symptoms whether they be pain, prolapse, leaking or general trunk weakness, and work with you to improve your symptoms through an individual programme to improve strength and stability and get you on the road to recovery and better health!

It’s easy to book, just call the clinic and ask to see Tara Lawson for a Women’s Health appointment. It could make all the difference in the world to your recovery and wellbeing.
