Reprogram Your Brain to THINK Differently About Food

Some things to think about;

  1. Waste not Waist- When your stomach is full stop eating. Waste food is still waste food whether you choose to waste it on your waist or waste it in the waste bin. Are you a waste-bin? You decide.

  2. Only Eat if You are Hungry-sounds simple doesn’t it but it’s the biggest challenge for most of my clients. If you have ignored your body signals to stop eating for a long time or have been an emotional eater this can be really hard. Use a hunger scale and a food diary.

  3. Model Excellence– Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) It’s all about modelling the behaviours of people that we would like to be like. So observe slim people how much they eat and how they eat and modelling them will help control your own behaviours.

  4. Feed the Size You Want to Be- Would you give a five-year-old child the same portion as you? Probably not. You would give them enough for their body size. Therefore if you are a size 18 but wish to be a size 12, feed yourself enough for a 12, not a size 18.

  5. Notice Your Beliefs– Often our beliefs will have been conditioned since childhood and maybe stopping you from losing weight successfully and permanently. Working on your beliefs is one of the most powerful gifts you can give yourself. For example if you eat too much, you are not a pig!It was a “piggy” thing to DO but you are not a pig. So you slipped up, you are not the slip-up.
